John Condit
John Condit holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas Tech University. He leads Freestone Development, which includes our regional land brokers, entitlement team members for all product types, land planners, market research team members, engineers, architects, and interior design consultants, as well as general contractors. John has been in the multifamily industry since 1983 and has developed or redeveloped over 30,000 units during his career, with the last development platform being Vantage Communities, where he and his partners developed over 10,000 units. John has been a Board Member of the National Affordable Housing Association; a Board Member of the Texas Apartment Association; a past President of the San Antonio Apartment Association; a past Chairman of the Affordable Housing Task Force for the Texas Apartment Association; and was appointed by Texas Governor George W. Bush to the Governor’s Affordable Housing Task Force.

Christopher Condit
Christopher Condit holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Texas State University. As a Partner for Freestone Development, during the pre-development stage, Chris is responsible for new market analysis, loan and equity request packaging, modeling, and budgeting. During the construction and lease-up stages, he assists with design, building delivery and turnover, and general construction oversight.
Chris’s background includes working in both the financial markets, at a derivative advisory firm, and in the construction field for a general contractor, giving him a unique set of skills that help maintain the quality control and reputation Freestone Development has as a leader in multifamily development.

Chris Weigand
Chris Weigand serves at Lead Project Manager for Freestone Development. Chris received his Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and began his career in land development engineering and has grown to lead several engineering firms and was awarded CEO of the year by the San Antonio Business Journal. He has additionally been apart of the Vantage Development team expanding the development platform with nearly 7000 units over the past five years in six states throughout the Southeast and Midwest. He also serves on the Capital Improvements Advisory Committee for his hometown, Fair Oaks Ranch, and is a member of the Urban Land Institute. Chris is a father of three kids Carter (11), Cade (10) and Elise (5) and is active in coaching sports for all three most weekends.

Chayce Steelman
Chayce Steelman grew up in DFW and received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Southern Methodist University. Prior to joining Freestone, Chayce began his career in the financial services industry before working for a national real estate developer where he focused on acquisition and capitalization of new development projects. Chayce brings a unique background with a breadth of experience and relationships throughout DFW. As an Associate at Freestone, Chayce provides support throughout the different stages of a project lifecycle but is primarily focused on pre-development aspects including site selection, market analysis, financial modeling and underwriting, preparing investment packages as well as collaborating with external partners and third parties. Chayce lives in Dallas and is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys golfing, hunting, fishing, and being on the lake in his free time.

Kevin Denson
Kevin joined Freestone Development in 2022 and brings over 16 years of engineering experience in land development throughout Texas. Kevin graduated in the spring of 2007 from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree. Kevin has extensive experience relating to all phases of the entitlement, design, and construction administration of civil projects including multi-family, commercial, and single-family developments. At Freestone Development, Kevin currently oversees the planning, design, and implementation of new developments. In addition, he works with consultants and contractors throughout the development process ensuring that the final products meet Freestone Development standards.
